Generation X is made up of individuals who bring years of expertise and credibility in the promotions industry. It is the largest and most popular masquerade band in Florida, the band that everyone wants to be part of.

In our first year (1999), our presentation, ”Brazilia" won third place in the "large band" category, first prize for best live music on the road. Our Miss Generation X , Selena Silva, won best costume and first place in the Miss Miami Carnival Pageant.

For our 2000 presentation "Showtime in Vegas", we won 2nd place in the "large band" category, first place for "Female Individual of the year", first prize for best live music on the road. Our Miss Generation X , Priya Nanco, won best costume and second place in the Miss Miami Carnival Pageant.

In 2001 Generation X, along with the majority of bands did not display on the road because of the September 11th incident.

In 2002, our presentation of "Out of this World" won 2nd place in the "large band" category, first place for "Female Individual of the year", second prize for best live music on the road. Our Miss Generation X , Michelle Nancoo, won best costume and second place in the Miss Miami Carnival Pageant.

In 2003 our presentation of "Tribes" won 2nd place in the "large band” category, third place for "Female Individual of the year", first prize for best live music on the road. Our Miss Generation X , Danielle Baez, won best costume, best evening gown and first place in the Miss Miami Carnival Pageant.

In 2004, Generation X presented "Elements” - Water, Light, Earth, Fire, Wind. We placed 2nd in the large band category and first place for best music on the road.

In 2005, our presentation of “ Euphoria" , expressed a culmination of a GenX-perience, encompassing all the emotions of playing Mas with Generation X – Passion, Harmony, Ecstasy, Synergy, Elation, Bliss, Energy. "Euphoria" placed 2nd in the large band category and first place for best music on the road.

For Miami Carnival/Caribbean Mardi Gras 2006, we presented "Wonders of the World" , a costume and band presentation depicting the various wonders – natural, ancient and modern in all its amazing, mystical, inspiring and exciting beauty and grandeur, "Wonders of the World" placed 2nd in the large band category and first place for best music truck on the road.

In 2007, we won Band of the Year with our presentation of “Kaleidoscope” as we revealed all the color, excitement and glamour of carnival. There was no judging for any other categories.

In 2008 our presentation will be " Birds". Come and experience the best of Carnival with the most popular, the largest & most organised and exciting band in Florida.
